The presence of modern transport and logistics infrastructure plays the main role in strengthening international trade relations.
Axar.az reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov said this at a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS in Minsk.
"Azerbaijan has established itself as one of the important transport and logistics centers of Eurasia in recent years. We are continuously working to modernize transport infrastructure and attach great importance to the development of East-West and North-South international transport corridors. Additionally, considering the new realities that have emerged in the region, we are actively initiating work on the new Zangezur corridor, which will connect Azerbaijan with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. In the context of global challenges related to Climate Change, Azerbaijan is actively investing in green energy technologies, including wind and hydropower. We are developing international cooperation in the field of green energy, especially with the countries of Central Asia. Within the framework of this interaction, key agreements and memorandums have been signed aimed at implementing projects in the field of renewable energy sources," Ali Asadov noted.
