Zelensky demands Belarus act against Russian support

Belarus must prove through concrete actions that it is not supporting Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Axar.az reports, citing Kyiv Post, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on Belarusian authorities to demonstrate their position through actions rather than statements.

Zelensky said that unofficial statements from Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko were no longer enough and urged Minsk to remove Russian signal relay equipment located on Belarusian territory near the Ukrainian border.

“Belarus should act in line with what its de facto leadership is saying through unofficial channels, so that we can actually see in Ukraine that Belarus is truly against this war,” Zelensky said.

He said the equipment, located in Belarus’s Gomel and Brest regions, helps Russian forces carry out strikes on Ukrainian territory.

“If he does not want to be in this war, let him remove that equipment and switch it off,” Zelensky said, warning that Ukraine would destroy the systems if they were not removed.
