A delegation led by Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) Sahiba Gafarova will attend the farewell ceremony of Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei.

Axar.az reports, citing APА, taht the farewell ceremony for Ali Khamenei will be held on July 4-5 at the Mosalla complex in Tehran, after which the funeral procession will proceed to the city of Qom.

Following the farewell ceremony in Qom, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei will be laid to rest in Mashhad on July 9 in accordance with his will.

Recall that Sayyid Ali Khamenei was killed along with close family members during a joint US-Israeli attack on Tehran on February 28. He was subsequently succeeded by his son, Mojtaba Khamenei.
