Zelensky: Biden said Ukraine would not join NATO

Former US President Joe Biden had stated before the conflict that Ukraine would not join NATO.

Axar.az reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this at a press conference in Brussels.

"Before the conflict began, Joe Biden directly told me that Ukraine would not join NATO," Zelensky said.

According to Zelensky, he had repeatedly raised this issue at the White House, which brought a smile to the faces of American officials.

Zelensky also noted that the US position on this issue had not changed, but he believed that something could change in the future.

He did not see the need to remove the relevant clause on NATO from the Ukrainian Constitution.
