An armed attack has taken place at a school in Turkiye.
Axar.az reports, citing NTV, that the incident occurred in the Shanliurfa region.
According to initial reports, a man entered the school with a rifle and opened fire, injuring seven people.

Shanliurfa Governor Hasan Sildak said after the incident that the attack was carried out with a hunting rifle, leaving 16 people injured, most of them students. He added that the attacker was a former student of the school and later died by suicide.
The attacker was identified as Omer Ket.
In a statement, the Ministry of Interior said those injured included 10 students, 4 teachers, 1 police officer, and 1 cafeteria worker.
