Iran seized two ships crossing Strait of Hormuz

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Wednesday that two vessels were seized in the Strait of Hormuz and transferred to Iranian waters.

Axar.az reports that The IRGC Navy said in a statement that, the vessels were identified as the “MSC-FRANCESCA” and the “EPAMINODES” both of which were operating without authorization, repeatedly violating regulations, and manipulating navigation aid systems in a way that endangered maritime safety.

The statement added that the vessels have now been transferred to Iranian territorial waters for inspection of their cargo, documents, and related records.
