Hegseth says Iran seized 'random ships' in Hormuz

US Defence Secretary Hegseth said two vessels that Iran shot at and seized in the Strait of Hormuz in recent days were "random ships" and not US or Israeli vessels.

Axar.az informs, citing BBC, "Anyone with a speed boat, a gun and the wrong intentions can do that," he said.

Hegseth added that the US has "all the time in the world" and is not anxious for a deal.

Meanwhile, he said, Iran "knows that they still have an open window to choose wisely", and only have to "abandon a nuclear weapon in meaningful and verifiable ways".
