Erdogan condemns armed attack attempt in Washington

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has condemned an armed attack attempt during the White House Correspondents’ dinner held in Washington.

Axar.az reports that Erdogan made the statement on his official X account.

“I condemn the armed attack attempt that took place last night in Washington during the White House Correspondents’ dinner.

It is a relief for us that no one was injured, including US President Mr. Trump and his wife Melania.

In democracies, struggle is conducted through ideas, not violence. I convey my well wishes to President Trump, his wife, the US administration, and the American people,” he said.
