Putin met with Iranian Foreign Minister

Russian President Vladimir Putin has met in Saint Petersburg with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who arrived in Russia on an official visit.

Axar.az informs, citing TASS, during the talks, Putin stated that he had received a message from Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei last week.

Russian President Vladimir Putin also said Moscow intends to continue developing its strategic relations with Tehran.

“I would like to ask you to convey our most sincere gratitude for this [message from Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei] and to confirm that Russia, like Iran, intends to continue our strategic relations,” the Russian leader said during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
