A fire broke out at a multi-storey construction site in northern Moscow.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that five people were killed and ten others injured in the blaze.

Authorities said 31 people have been rescued, but some individuals remain trapped on the second floor. Rescue operations are ongoing.

Around 120 firefighters and 30 pieces of equipment have been deployed to tackle the fire.

Thirteen people were also injured in the incident.

The blaze, which spread across an area of 1,400 square metres, has been brought under control and extinguished.
