Russia will not display military hardware at victory parade

The Victory Day parade on Red Square in Moscow, marking the 81st anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory in World War II, will take place this year without a column of military equipment.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the Russian Defence Ministry’s press service on Telegram.

"Cadets from Suvorov military schools, Nakhimov naval schools, cadet corps, as well as the military hardware column will not take part in this year’s military parade due to the current operational situation," the ministry said on Telegram.

However viewers will see footage of Russian Armed Forces personnel from all branches carrying out missions in the area of the special military operation, as well as those on combat duty and service, including crews at command posts of the Strategic Missile Forces, Aerospace Forces, and aboard Navy ships.

“During the aviation segment of the parade, aircraft of Russian aerobatic display teams will fly over Red Square, and at the conclusion of the parade, Su-25 attack pilots will paint the sky over Moscow in the colors of the Russian flag,” the ministry said.
