Iran says US responded to Tehran's proposal via Pakistan

The United States has responded to Iran’s proposal through Pakistan, and Tehran is currently reviewing Washington’s reply.

Axar.az reports Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei made the statement.

“The United States has conveyed its response to Iran’s proposal via the Pakistani side, and we are currently reviewing it,” Baghaei said.

He added that Iran’s “14-point proposal” is exclusively focused on ending the war and does not include any nuclear-related issues.

“At this stage, our focus is on the specifics of ending the war in the region, including Lebanon,” he noted.

Baghaei also stated that claims regarding US involvement in mine-clearing in the Strait of Hormuz are not part of Iran’s proposal.
