Rumen Radev becomes Bulgaria PM

Rumen Radev, the leader of the “Progressive Bulgaria” coalition, has been elected as Bulgaria’s new prime minister.

Axar.az reports that he Bulgarian National Assembly confirmed the decision.

Lawmakers also approved the structure of the new Council of Ministers and elected its members.

Radev’s nomination received 124 votes in favor, 70 against, and 36 abstentions, the statement said.

It is noted that on April 19, the “Progressive Bulgaria” coalition, led by former president Rumen Radev, won the snap parliamentary elections.
