Nobel winner Narges Mohammadi moved from jail to hospital

The Nobel Peace Prize laureate Narges Mohammadi has been transferred to Pars Hospital in Tehran for medical treatment after a court order suspended the execution of her prison sentence on health grounds.

Axar.az reports, citing the Narges Foundation, Mohammadi had been hospitalized for 10 days in Zanjan before being discharged and transferred by ambulance to Tehran, where she is now receiving care from her own medical team at Pars Hospital.

The decision was made following an assessment by Iran’s Legal Medicine Organization, which determined that she requires specialized treatment outside prison due to multiple health conditions.

The foundation also stated that the transfer was carried out under strict security measures.

In addition, her lawyer said that she has been released on suspension of her sentence under heavy bail for the purpose of medical treatment.
