Pashinyan: Karapetyan is an FSB officer of Russia

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has made sharp accusations against Russia, claiming the existence of an “agent network” in Armenian politics.

Axar.az informs, citing Armenian media, speaking at a meeting with voters, Pashinyan said that “reputable Armenian and foreign media” report links between Russian businessman Samvel Karapetyan — whom he referred to as a “Kaluga oligarch” — and Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB).

“The person who has come and is participating in Armenia’s political processes is in fact a secret FSB operative,” the prime minister said.

In addition, the prime minister said that political structures created by Karapetyan constitute an “agent network” and warned of consequences for anyone allegedly linked to foreign intelligence services. “The Republic of Armenia will go after all agents,” the Armenian leader stated.
