Russian strikes hit Kyiv near Azerbaijan embassy

A series of massive Russian missile strikes on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv has caused serious damage to civilian infrastructure and widespread destruction.

Axar.az reports, citing AZERTАC, some of the missiles targeted the Shevchenkivskyi district, where the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ukraine is located. Several missiles landed about 300 meters from the embassy, shattering its windows.

Markets and commercial facilities near the embassy, including the “Lukianivka” market and the “Kvadrat” shopping center, were completely destroyed. Damage to residential buildings was also reported.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that at least two people were killed and more than 40 injured in the strikes. Twenty-eight of the wounded were hospitalized, with three in critical condition.

Authorities warned that the number of casualties may rise as rescue teams continue clearing the rubble.
