Chairman of Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission, Vaagn Hovakimyan, has announced the results of the parliamentary elections held yesterday.

Axar.az informs that he stated that there are a total of 2,507,216 registered voters in Armenia, with 1,477,736 people casting ballots, representing a turnout of 58.94%.

He also noted that 17,097 ballots were declared invalid.

The CEC chairman further emphasized that, contrary to earlier announcements, the Prosperous Armenia Party (led by Gagik Tsarukyan) did not pass the 4% electoral threshold and therefore did not secure any parliamentary mandates.

Final results are as follows:

Civil Contract (Nikol Pashinyan’s party) — 49.825%

Strong Armenia (party of Russian oligarch Samvel Karapetyan) — 23.281%

Armenia bloc (Robert Kocharyan) — 9.934%

Prosperous Armenia (Gagik Tsarukyan’s party) — 3.996%

It should be noted that 18 political forces (16 parties and two blocs) participated in the parliamentary elections held on June 7.
