The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says it has launched a new military operation targeting Israeli airbases in response to recent Israeli strikes on Iranian radar sites.
Axar.az reports, citing Tasim, in a statement released by its public relations office, the IRGC said its Aerospace Force began the “Nasr” operation “a few minutes ago” with the coded slogan “Ya Heydar al-Karrar,” dedicating the operation to what it described as the martyrs of the 12-day war.
The statement claimed that the operation targeted “important facilities” at the Nevatim and Tel Nof airbases in Israel.
According to the IRGC, the operation was carried out in response to missile attacks attributed to Israel on several radar installations located in three different areas inside Iran.
It also emphasized the speed and scale of the response, saying operational units acted with rapid coordination and that a broad target list was used during this phase.
The IRGC further stated that all of its combat and operational units remain in full readiness for what it described as expanded deterrence operations across multiple fronts, adding that action plans have been prepared for various possible enemy scenarios.
