Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei has said that the United States failed to defeat Iran and warned that Washington would face serious problems in future conflicts.

Axar.az reports, citing Iranian media, that he said US President Donald Trump’s speech at the UN General Assembly and his repeated focus on Iran demonstrated that the power of the Islamic Republic had increased significantly.

“America intended to destroy Iran in this war, but the Islamic Republic of Iran was turned into the world’s fourth power. Iran was the first country to shoot down an American F-35 and AWACS aircraft. No one looks at America as a superpower anymore,” Rezaei said.

“We proved that America could not defeat Iran, and in the future it will also face serious problems in a war,” Rezaei said.
