Trump says Ukraine lacked equipment for certain ammunition

The US President Donald Trump rejected Ukraine’s request for a certain type of weapon because it did not believe Ukraine had the capability to use it.

Axar.az reports that Trump made the remarks in an interview with TIME.

"There is ammunition that President Zelensky wouldn't take, but it's very powerful ammunition. He wouldn't take because he didn't have airplanes and things that you need for that ammunition," he said.

He added that the United States is now expanding ammunition production, with defense companies such as Raytheon building plants across the country and operating around the clock.

“We’re stocking up at levels we’ve never done before,” he added.
