Iran’s ground forces told to remain on high alert

Iran’s army ground forces commander Ali Jahanshahi said on Friday that troops must maintain full readiness as the country remains in “wartime conditions.”

Axar.az reports, citing Iran International, that Jahanshahi made the remarks during an inspection of the army’s 258th Mobile Assault Brigade.

“In wartime conditions, any negligence or complacency can carry heavy costs,” he said.

He added that units needed “continuous training, precise assessment of operational capabilities, coordination between units and rapid identification and correction of weaknesses.”

Jahanshahi also said Iran faced a combination of military and psychological threats and called for forces to maintain the ability to respond quickly.
