Dubai-based airline flydubai has temporarily suspended flights to Tel Aviv at the request of authorities following an incident in the cockpit of one of its aircraft, CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith said.

Axar.az reports, citing the Dubai Media Office, that the suspension would remain in place until further notice.

"At the request of the authorities, we have temporarily suspended operations to Tel Aviv until further notice. Our teams are working around the clock to support disrupted passengers and help them reach their final destinations," Al Ghaith said.

It should be noted that a Flydubai aircraft flying from the UAE to Tel Aviv issued an emergency alert over suspected hijacking. It was later reported that a fight had broken out between the pilots on board.
