Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, co-chair of Russian-Turkish Public Forum Lyubov Glebova will discuss on Tuesday in Istanbul with her Turkish colleague Ahmed Chonkar the problems of restoring bilateral cooperation.

"Today Russia and Turkey are in the state of looking for new and activating old formats of cooperation in practically all spheres," Glebova told TASS. "After overcoming an eight-month crisis in our relations, we can see the new wave of activity in humanitarian cooperation, especially in the framework of the Russian-Turkish public forum," she added.

The role of the forum is highly assessed both in Moscow and Ankara, she added. "In the framework of this forum, cooperation takes place in the spheres of culture, education, supporting business," she reminded. "Today we will hold a meeting with Mr Chonkar to outline plans regarding the activities of the forum," she added.

"I want to remind you that public formats usually precede meetings of heads of state," she noted. "We expect such a meeting to be planned in the nearest future, and will make steps to facilitate this," Glebova said.

"It is important for our countries now to restore the decreasing activities in bilateral relations. This is the main aim of the upcoming talks with Ahmed Chonkar," she concluded.
