Tanzanian President John Magufuli has called on his country's citizens to turn to God and support the economy in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Axar.az reports this information was spread by Agence France-Presse. Although all African countries have imposed a curfew or quarantine regime against the coronavirus, Tanzania is still resisting such measures. Although schools and universities have been closed in the country, markets and shops are still operating.

Against the background of these events, Magufuli called on the population to worship for three days:

"It's time to strengthen our faith and continue to pray to God without relying on protective masks. Do not stop going to churches and mosques. I am sure that it will pass. God will protect Tanzanians from the virus. "
