Congressional approval of the military aid bill would help Ukraine stay on the battlefield until the end of this year and thwart the Kremlin's plans.

Axar.az reports that William Burns, director of the US Central Intelligence Agency, said this.

"Thanks to military support, both practical and psychological, Ukrainians can stand on the battlefield during 2024 and destroy Putin's arrogant idea that time is working in his favour," he said.

Burns noted that the situation will be worse if the bill does not pass Congress:

"Now support for Ukraine is more important than war with Russia. It is also about Xi Jinping and his ambitions in China, and our allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region. It's a matter of whether our opponents understand our reliability and determination."
