The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia commented on the question of why Kazakhstan President Gasim-Jomart Tokayev did not visit the Tsitsernakaberd memorial erected in memory of the victims of the so-called "Armenian genocide" during his visit to Yerevan.

Axar.az reports that the Armenian press published information about this.

"This is an optional part of the protocol," the statement said.

It is noted in the media that earlier visiting the "memorial" was mandatory for all state visits.
