The number of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine has increased significantly since 2022. There are 513,000 Russian soldiers in the temporarily occupied territories.

Axar.az reports that this was said by Alexander Pavlyuk, the lieutenant general of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the commander of the Ground Forces.

According to him, this figure may increase during the year:

"The Russians want to mobilize another 100,000 soldiers and will use them to strengthen their forces in Ukraine in June and July."
