Zelensky to skip Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdansk

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will not attend the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC-2026), which is scheduled to take place in Gdansk, Poland, on June 25-26.

Axar.az reports, citing Ukrainian media, Ukraine will instead be represented by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, who will lead the country's delegation at the event.

“I will lead the Ukrainian delegation and our work at URC-2026 in Gdansk,” Svyrydenko said.

"Many events at different levels are planned to strengthen Ukraine, Poland, all our partners, and Europe. Our team has a clear task — to reach concrete agreements that will strengthen Ukraine’s defense capability and resilience and expand economic cooperation with our partners. We expect to sign a number of important agreements with international partners, particularly in the energy sector,” she added.

URC-2026 is an international conference dedicated to Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction.
