Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Azerbaijan Yuriy Gusev.

The ambassador presented copies of his credentials.

During the meeting, the current situation and prospects of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine were discussed.

Ambassador of Ukraine Yuriy Gusev expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijani side for its support to Ukraine and stressed that he is ready to make maximum efforts to strengthen the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Azerbaijan.

The parties also exchanged views on issues on the agenda related to global and regional security.
