Russia was ready to respond constructively to the offer of negotiations in 2022.

Axar.az reports that Maria Zakharova, an official of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said this in response to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken's statement about the need to discuss the Ukrainian conflict in accordance with international principles.

Zakharova noted that Russia has already shown respect for international law with the initiative of the Minsk agreements and their consolidation in the form of a UN Security Council resolution.

According to Zakharova, it was the United States that forced Vladimir Zelensky to ban negotiations with Moscow.
