Russian military aircraft entered NATO territory

Russian warplane violated Finnish airspace.

Axar.az reports that the Ministry of Defense of the country has released information about this.

According to information, this is the first such event after the Scandinavian country joined the NATO alliance.

According to the statement issued by the Ministry of Defense, the plane flew in Finnish airspace for about 2 minutes. The incident took place in the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland - the plane entered the territory of Finland at a depth of 2.5 kilometers.

"We take the violation of territorial borders seriously and immediately started an investigation," Defense Minister Antti Hakkanen said.
