The location of Iran's new capital has been announced.

Axar.az reports citing the "Azad Iran" Telegram channel, reports that Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajirani stated this during a briefing.

According to her, two councils have been established to conduct research regarding the new capital. One council will examine the issues of the current capital, while the other will focus on the maritime economy.

"The Makran region requires significant infrastructure development in engineering, sociology, or economics. The assistance of all intellectuals and experts is needed. However, as I mentioned, the new capital will be in the south, in the Makran region," the spokesperson emphasized.
