Dries Mertens announces retirement from football

Dries Mertens, who left the Turkish “Galatasaray” team at the end of last season, has ended his career.

Axar.az reports that the 38-year-old Belgian footballer himself gave this information.

He announced that a farewell match will be organized for him on July 3.

It should be noted that Dries Mertens played for well-known clubs such as “Galatasaray” in the Netherlands and “Napoli” in Italy during his career. He is remembered for 21 goals in 109 games for the Belgian national team.
