A jewelry factory in the French city of Besancon was targeted in an armed robbery on November 3, with the perpetrators stealing between 20 and 50 kilograms of gold.
Axar.az reports, citing French media, that according to police sources, five masked men wearing bulletproof vests stormed the factory at around 7 a.m. and fired several shots. One employee was injured in the face.
The robbers fled after scattering nails on the road, puncturing the tires of a motorcycle and a police vehicle. Their getaway car, equipped with a flashing blue light, was later found burned out.
The National Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime has taken over the investigation.
