Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has apologized to the public for the ongoing power outages in the country.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that Pezeshkian made the statement during the signing ceremony of a $17 billion energy investment project in Tehran.

“Our gas reserves in tankers were not sufficient to meet the demand of power plants. Of course, our valuable colleagues in the Ministry of Oil and Energy worked hard to increase production and overcome this difficult period, preventing the population from being left without gas in winter. However, I once again apologize to the people for the power outages,” the Iranian president said.
