The most ridiculous thing is that there is no official invitation from the EU, but we declare that, although we are in the EEU, we desire EU membership. There are also strange and absurd elements in the postponement of the second reading of the bill. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs says that this bill does not envisage specific steps, but this is a message to the EU that we are with them. So, is this a message to Moscow that we do not want to be with them but are temporarily with Russia?
Axar.az reports that these words were said by Armenian political scientist Hayk Khalatyan in an interview with local media.
“Of course, all this leads to a negative attitude towards Armenia. Currently, Moscow does not perceive Armenia not only as an ally but even as a reliable partner,” he said.
Khalatyan noted that Ilham Aliyev creates problems, speaks his mind, and expresses dissatisfaction, but Russia considers him a reliable partner:
“Because they know that if you sign a contract with Aliyev, with Erdogan, if you reach an agreement, it will be fulfilled. Putin himself has spoken about this. But this is not the case with Nikol Pashinyan.”
