Rubio: Syria must account for minority attacks

Syrian officials should hold accountable those who attack representatives of minorities in the country.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

"The United States condemns the terrorists, including foreign jihadists, who have killed people in western Syria in recent days," he said.

According to him, Washington is on the side of Syria's religious and ethnic minorities, including the Christian, Druze, Alawite, and Kurdish communities:

"The Syrian interim authorities must hold accountable those who committed these massacres against Syrian minorities."
