US President Donald Trump had a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Axar.az reports that the Israeli Prime Minister's Office released a statement on this.

The parties focused on the release of hostages in the Gaza Strip, the elimination of Hamas, and the progress of Trump's plan to transform the Palestinian enclave.

The leaders also discussed the killing of Israeli embassy employees in Washington on May 22, and Donald Trump expressed condolences over the incident.

At the same time, Trump agreed on the need to ensure that Iran does not acquire nuclear weapons.
