The United States expects to collect more than $300 billion in new import duties by the end of the year.

Axar.az reports that this information was given by US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

"So we expect it to significantly exceed $300 billion by the end of the year," Bessent said, commenting on the level of revenue from customs duties.

Recall that on April 2, US President Donald Trump announced that customs duties would be imposed on products from 185 countries and territories.
