Russia intends to develop close bilateral relations with Armenia in the future. Time will tell the consequences of Armenia's possible withdrawal from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov.

"They are interested in the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization), that is, they are pursuing a multi-vector policy for them. But we, of course, are interested in maximum cooperation in all directions, and in addition to the multilateral format, we are also united by very close bilateral relations.

In the past few years, we have been observing attempts to create a balance in various directions. We know, for example, what Armenia's membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will give it specifically. We will see what rapprochement with the European Union will give it specifically. After all, everything is known in comparison," Peskov noted.
