The European Union is halting its investigation related to Elon Musk’s social network X amid ongoing trade talks with the United States.

Axar.az informs that this information was reported by the Financial Times, citing sources.

“The EU was supposed to announce the results of the investigation during the summer, but this deadline may be extended. The decision depends on the progress of trade negotiations between Washington and Brussels, as no one wants to upset U.S. President Donald Trump or escalate transatlantic trade disputes,” the source said.

It is worth noting that the EU investigation into X began in December 2023. The social network is alleged to have violated demands to remove illegal content.
