On the night of July 18, rumors began circulating about an assassination attempt targeting three leaders of Syria’s transitional administration, including Defense Minister Marhaf Abu Kasra.

Axar.az reports that this information was shared on the Telegram channel of Al Mayadeen.

The channel reports that, amid these developments, Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara urgently left Damascus with his family and relocated to Idlib.

There has been no official confirmation of the events so far.

It should be noted that tensions have recently escalated between Israel and Syria. The Israeli military has struck several cities in Syria, including the capital, Damascus.
