Dexamethasone COVID-19 should not be used in patients who are mild and do not need oxygen support.

Axar.az reports that, the statement came from the World Health Organization in Azerbaijan.

"A recent study in the United Kingdom found that dexamethasone reduced the risk of death in patients with COVID-19 who needed oxygen support.

If not used properly, the drug has serious side effects," the statement said.
