The presidents of Azerbaijan and Belarus visited the Jidir Plain.

Axar.az reports that President Alexander Lukashenko was informed that the Jdir plain is one of the symbols of Shusha, and historically it is the area where the local Turkish people held the Nowruz holiday and other festivities from the time of the Karabakh Khanate.

Later, the heads of state visited the Shusha fortress walls.

The President of Belarus was informed about the history of the city of Shusha and the construction of the fortress walls. It was reported that the fortress built by Karabakh Khan Panahali Khan protected the city from foreign interference for a long time and was a symbol of invincibility. During the occupation, the fortress walls were subjected to Armenian vandalism. After the liberation of Shusha from occupation, repair, and restoration works were carried out in the castle.

Then the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko had lunch together in Shusha.

It should be noted that the visits of dignitaries to Karabakh have already become a tradition. This allows the guests to demonstrate the acts of vandalism committed by the occupier, the construction policy of the Azerbaijan state, and the peace agenda.

Acquaintance with the cultural capital of Shusha made a deep impression on the President of Belarus.
