Restoration work continues at the historic Habib-i Nejjar Mosque in Turkiye's Hatay province.

Axar.az reports that restoration work at the Habib-i Nejjar Mosque is scheduled to be completed by July 7, the next anniversary of Hatay's unification with Turkiye.

It should be noted that Habib-i Nejjar was destroyed during the February 6, 2023 earthquake.

The Habib-i Nejjar Mosque is considered the first mosque founded by Muslim Arabs in the south of modern-day Turkiye in 638.
