On August 3, the Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation, headed by the Speaker of the Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova, arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit to participate in the Inter-Parliamentary Forum to be held within the framework of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.

Axar.az reports that according to the information provided by the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis was met at the Turkmenbashi International Airport by the Chairman of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Youth Policy of the Turkmen Majlis, Bayramgozel Muradova, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkmenistan, Gismat Gozalov, and other officials.

The first session of the Inter-Parliamentary Forum to be held in Avaza, Turkmenistan, will be chaired by Speaker Sahiba Gafarova. The Speaker of the Milli Majlis is expected to deliver a speech at the Forum and hold a number of meetings as part of the visit.
