President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to the President of Finland, Alexander Stubbs.

Axar.az reports that the congratulatory letter states:

"Dear Mr. President,

On behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan, I sincerely congratulate you and your people on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Finland - Independence Day.

I believe that relations between our countries will continue to develop based on friendship and cooperation in accordance with the interests of our peoples.

On this holiday, I convey my best wishes to you and wish your people constant peace and prosperity."
