OSCE Chairperson-in-Office to visit Azerbaijan

Swiss Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis will visit Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan on August 4-5 in his capacity as Chairperson-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

Axar.az reports that according to the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, discussions during the visit will focus on bilateral relations, peace efforts in the South Caucasus, and Switzerland’s role in Central Asia as part of its 2026 OSCE chairmanship.

The visit marks the first leg of Cassis’s regional tour, which will continue with trips to Armenia and Georgia in the autumn.
