A bilateral meeting was held between Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Montenegro’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimović.
Axar.az reports that this was announced by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The ministers reviewed the current state and future prospects of Azerbaijan–Montenegro relations, including political dialogue, economic cooperation, humanitarian ties, and interaction on international platforms.
They emphasized the importance of high-level mutual visits, including the visit of Montenegro’s President Jakov Milatović, in ensuring the continuity of bilateral political dialogue.
The sides highlighted the need to expand trade relations, promote investments, strengthen business-to-business contacts, and advance joint projects. They also stressed the importance of making effective use of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation.
Humanitarian cooperation—particularly in tourism, culture, and education—was described as an integral part of bilateral relations. Both sides welcomed the expansion of exchanges in these areas.
The ministers also discussed cooperation within the UN, the OSCE, and other multilateral formats, reaffirming their commitment to continued cooperation based on mutual trust.
Regional issues were also addressed.
Jeyhun Bayramov briefed his counterpart on efforts aimed at normalization and achieving sustainable peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
