Azerbaijan, Germany hold political consultations in Baku

Another round of political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Azerbaijan and Germany was held in Baku, on April 10.

Axar.az informs that the Azerbaijani delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev, engaged in talks with the German delegation, headed by Niklas Wagner, Commissioner of the German Foreign Ministry for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia.

The consultations reviewed the current state of political relations and bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the importance of reciprocal visits and meetings within the international events to maintain sustainable political dialogue. The sides also discussed cooperation in the economic, energy, transport, and humanitarian sectors, along with future development prospects.

The German delegation was briefed on Azerbaijan-led energy and transport projects, plans to expand the legal framework, and cooperation on international platforms, including within international organizations and mutual support for candidacies.

The consultations also covered the regional situation, the Armenia–Azerbaijan peace process, efforts toward sustainable peace, reconstruction and demining in the liberated territories, as well as global issues of mutual interest.
